Tower Offence (Prototype)
Protect the goal from the soldiers. You can use the following weapons to help you defend it:
- Normal Tower (20 coins)- shoots arrows at steady intervals. Select with "1" or the "Towers" button and place with MOUSE1.
- Slowing Tower (15 coins)- slows down soldiers that go near it. Select with "2" or the "Slow Towers" button and place with MOUSE1.
- Stand (120 coins) (currently non-functional)- allows you to place an extra stand that in turn allows you to place an extra tower or slow tower. Select with "3" or the "Stand" button and place with MOUSE1.
- Bomb (free)- spawns a bomb that can be rolled around with WASD. Collide with soldiers and it will explode, destroying all soldiers in the blast with an increased score per soldier. It can only be used once per round. Spawn with the "Spawn Bomb" button.
The round in this build has 25 soldiers.
Current Issues
- This prototype only contains 1 playable round with 25 soldiers.
- Towers can be placed anywhere because the stand mechanic has not been implemented yet.
- Towers cannot be removed once placed.
- The buttons on the left side will not re-appear when the player has enough money to place a specific object again. Use 1, 2 and 3 to select objects to place.
- The goal and towers do not have collision for the bomb to interact with.
- The transparent towers that follow the mouse will freeze in place whenever the mouse leaves the play field.
- The dark background on the win screen is slightly too small when playing in windowed mode.
- The transparent towers will "linger" once when cycling between different towers when using 1, 2 or 3.
- When many soldiers are killed in specific ways at once, a solider may not spawn making the round unbeatable.
- The round text replaces the "game over" and "win" text on their respective screens.
